What Kindle Unlimited offers
Kindle Unlimited was renamed Kindle+ in October 2026. The subscription provides access to a designated digital-reading and listening catalog, allowing you to borrow included titles rather than purchasing every book individually. The existing offer link may display the newer name when you arrive.
The catalog includes ebooks, audiobooks, comics, manga and magazines. You can read on a compatible Kindle or through the free Kindle app on supported devices. The service permits up to twenty borrowed titles at a time, with no due dates while your subscription remains active.
Who it can suit
It can suit a reader who enjoys exploring authors and genres within the included catalog. Search for several desired titles before joining, because a subscription does not include every book sold by Amazon. Check whether a particular edition has an included audiobook if listening is important to you.
Access, pricing and requirements
Eligible accounts may receive a trial, followed by recurring monthly payment. A valid Amazon account and payment method are required. The current offer determines trial duration and pricing. Kindle+ is a separate subscription from Prime, even though Prime members may have access to a smaller reading selection.
How to get started
Open the offer and review the current Kindle+ terms in your account. Search the included catalog, borrow a title and send it to your preferred device or app. Test reading or listening, and return borrowed books when you want to make room for new selections.
Frequently asked questions
Do I own borrowed books permanently?
No. Borrowed subscription titles depend on an active membership and catalog availability. Purchased books are a separate transaction.
Do I need to buy a Kindle device?
No. The free Kindle app works on supported smartphones, tablets and computers, allowing you to use the subscription without a dedicated e-reader.
