Preply

What Preply offers

Preply connects learners with online tutors for personalized language lessons. You can compare teacher profiles, availability and teaching approaches, then choose someone who fits your language goal, schedule and budget. The experience centers on working with an individual tutor rather than following one universal course.

Tutor profiles describe teaching experience, languages, lesson focus and prices. Lessons can target conversation, workplace communication, exam preparation or other agreed goals. Discuss your needs directly with the tutor, because materials, homework and lesson structure vary between teachers.

Who it can suit

It can suit a learner who wants conversation practice, feedback and accountability. Before booking, write a short description of what you want to do in the language. Consider time-zone compatibility and your ability to attend consistently, rather than choosing only on the lowest advertised price.

Access, pricing and requirements

Preply lessons are paid. An introductory or trial lesson is not automatically free, and ongoing learning may use subscription billing. Review the tutor’s price, lesson duration, scheduling rules and any replacement or satisfaction policy on the official site before confirming a booking.

How to get started

Search by language, availability and learning goal, then read several tutor profiles. Send a concise message if you need to confirm a specialization. Book an introductory lesson, explain your priorities and agree on an approach before committing to an ongoing schedule.
